ZooApplication Asynchronous I/O Errors - solution
Wanted to update the new board with this info as I know I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.
Running Helicon Zoo + Django + MS SQL Server with "django-mssql" database engine can raise unexplained Application errors. What appears to be happening is that django-mssql calls something in pywin32, which in turn calls ole32.dll, and that call causes a crash (sometimes). This in turn brings down the Django Python process, which Zoo reports as a ZooApplication error.
You can check Event Viewer for Errors of EventID 1000, Task Category 100 with "faulting application name: Python.exe" and "faulting module name: ole32.dll"; the timestamps on these should sync up with your Zoo logs.
If that's the case, and you're using django-mssql, try switching to django-pyodbc instead. It's not difficult; only requires a few small changes in your Django settings.py file, and functions just the same (at least, does for us: MS SQL Server 2008 R2).
I hope this helps someone...we've been tearing our hair out for about 6 months trying to figure it out!!!
