Rewrite Works in Dev but not Production
Hi,
In our Production one year back we are deployed 4789 query string rules, These rules are working fine. Now we have going to deploy 279 documents (.ppt,.docx,.doc,.pptx,.xls,.xlsx) rules by appending into hhtpd.conf file. Then after old rules (Query string rules) are working fine but newly added 279 rules are not working on production. We tested these 279 rules with 4789 old rules(Query string rules) on Dev evnvironment its working fine. So we are facing issue on production server only.
Please suggest solution.
Thanks & Regards,
Galisetti

Re: Rewrite Works in Dev but not Production
The right thing to do would be to take a look at the logs... but if it's 4789 rules.... it would be hard to find the right one.
Suggestions:
- Check permissions of httpd.conf file. It might not be able to read the changes out of it. http://www.helicontech.com/isapi_rewrit ... curity.htm
- Try to comment out the old rules and take a snapshot of the rewrite.log. Logging issues are described here - http://www.helicontech.com/forum/10648-FAQ.html (If old rules won't stop working - refer to suggestion #1)
- check your browser, if it's not caching the pages
