RegexBuddy language selection
Hi,
I use RegexBuddy v4 for development, which has many choices for language-specific syntax. Would you know which regex flavor ISAPI_Rewrite 3 is using? (also Helicon Ape, if it's different than ISAPI_Rewrite 3). I can post a file listing their choices, if you wish. e.g., Python 3.3, Perl 5.18, .NET 4.5, etc.
Thank you,
Bob

Re: RegexBuddy language selection
Hello,
You can use RexEx Buddy to test regular expressions, but there is no suitable language option to generate Rules in it.
However, you can use our built-in regex tested which is supplied with ISAPI_Rewrite or Helicon Ape.

Re: RegexBuddy language selection
Thank you - I understand it's not for generating the rules themselves - your tester is very handy for that. I was wondering which language variation your regular expressions are using. Since it's emulating apache on .net, I wasn't sure.
Thanks,
Bob

Re: RegexBuddy language selection
Hi again,
I see in the documentation for ISAPI_Rewrite 3:
"Pattern is a Perl compatible regular expression..."
and Helicon Ape:
"Pattern — Perl-compatible regular expression..."
so I'll just use one of the Perl versions in RegexBuddy.
Thank you,
Bob
