How to get this rewrite rule working

Hi,
This is what I want to get done.

If user goes to http://site1.com he should be reverse proxied to http://site2.com/folder/default.aspx automatically. Site1.com does not have any content except to redirect to the site2.com.

We are using IIS 6.0. My current rule is below. But it is not working. When I type http://site1.com in the address bar I get a message "under construction". If I add '/' to the end of http://site1.com I get "Directory Listing Denied" message.

RewriteCond %{HTTP:Host} site1.com
RewriteRule (.*) http://site2.com/folder/default.aspx [NC,L]

Please help.

Hello, Ram

If it's v2 you are using, please try the following config:

RewriteCond %{HTTP:Host} site1\.com
RewriteRule .* http\://site2.com/folder/default.aspx [RP,L]

BTW, is Site1.com an empty site or is there no such site in IIS at all?
Also check httpd.parse.errors file in ISAPI_Rewrite install folder for possible messages.
