Error 1723.

While installing ISAPI_Rewrite3_0098_Lite.msi (2003 32-bit)i am getting follwing Error -
“Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL Required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personal or package vendor.” Please provide me solution as early as possible.

Note: How can i get this error with log file?

First, please try to re-download the installation package.
To get the install log run the installation from the command prompt like this:

msiexec /i rewrite098.msi /l* log.txt

After runing

i am getting error "The System cannot open the device or file specified"

check the below log file.

Hello,

First, please check if there are sufficient permissions to write to these folders:

C:\WINDOWS\InstallerC:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp
Also, please notice you got this error:
"Could not create temporary file, not enough free temporary disk space. Please free up disk space and rerun this installation."

And please specify whether you run the installation as Administrator.

Hello Anton,

I have the administration rights.
i am able to create new folder in C:\WINDOWS\InstallerC:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp.

in my C drive having 11.5 GB Free Space.

I believe to make it quicker, it would be nice to have remote access to your server to check everything.
