Logfiles removed when IIS stops

I have setup standard logging in a wsgi application and each time IIS is recycled the files are removed?
What would cause this?

This is really strange. Could you specify the build number so we investigate it.

The version is 3.1.98.508. This is under Windows 2008 r2 running Python 2.7.6 x64.
