Does Helicon Zoo work with IIS 8 ? How ?
Hello, Is Helicon Zoo compatible with IIS 8 running on Windows Server 2012? If so - how is this accomplished?
I attempted to follow the instructions at www.helicontech.com/articles/running-django-on-windows-with-performance-tests/ , but what I am seeing within Windows Platform Installer 4.5 is so different from what the webpage depicts that I am not able to proceed. When I enter http://www.helicontech.com/zoo/feed for the feed, it indicates that is not valid. I just can't quite figure out how to get going with this!
I also fail to find any download link for Helicon Zoo. Is this product even existing today?
I'm rather new to Django: I created a development setup on a Ubuntu virtual-machine and created a simple Django website, and it runs fine. Now I'm trying to re-create it on a Windows Server 2012 (64-bit) box running IIS 8, to use as my production server. I can usually figure things out (I'm an experienced C# / ASP.NET developer) but, in this I am stuck.
Your help and sage advice would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you,
james hurst

Re: Does Helicon Zoo work with IIS 8 ? How ?
Attempting to follow the instructions on that webpage,
Running Web Platform Installer 4.5, with everything as it comes up by default ("Spotlight" tab is highlighted), I click on the "Options" link at the bottom, and a separate dialog-window pops up titled "Change Options". I leave "Primary Feed" at default. In the textbox under "Custom Feeds" I enter this feed as specified on the webpage you gave, http://www.helicontech.com/zoo/feed and then click on the button to the right of that labeled "Add Feed"
All it does is (evidently) indicate that that is an invalid feed. It adds that value for the feed underneath the textbox with an "X" next to it.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for your help,
james

Re: Does Helicon Zoo work with IIS 8 ? How ?
Ok - it did install just now. Perhaps my brain was being too literal in following Microsoft's visual cues on their Platform Installer. I hate the direction they've been going - it seems less and less obvious with every change they make! It would be nice if you could possibly provide a Powershell command to install Zoo, so I could provision a server automatically.
Thank you so very much for your help, and for making this software available. I appreciate your work.
