the rule don't work on APE

Hi support,
We upgraded from isapi rewrite 3 to Ape. but I have an question for the below rules don't work on APE, but it working on ISAPI_Write 3.0

RewriteEngine On

RewriteRule ^(mobile/)?australia/Pages/default.aspx$ $1australia [NC,R=301, L]
RewriteRule ^(mobile/)?australia$ $1australia/Pages/default.aspx [NC, L]

can you let me know the solution?
