ZooException - Worker Can't Start.

19 Aug 2014, 20:44

Good evening!

I'm fairly new to Helicon Zoo. I have it running perfectly on one machine but am unable to get Railo projects to run on my main computer (Server 2008).

I'm including the error message that the page returns, but no log information is recorded.

If anyone can assist me, please let me know what further information you need and I'll pop it over.

Here is the detailed error:

Hello,

Please make sure that following items are satisfied:

1. Railo 4 installed in C:\railo4,
2. 'Railo Server' system service is registered and started,
2. File C:\railo4\tomcat\lib\HeliconZooTomcatValve.jar exist,
3. Tomcat railo config C:\railo4\tomcat\conf\server.xml contains following line:
<Valve className="com.helicontech.zoo.tomcat.ZooServerValve" />
4. Railo is accessible on http://localhost:8888/

Please show your environment variables (type 'set' in Command Prompt)

Thank you, Ruslan!

1. Railo4 is installed in C:\railo4. There is also a C:\railo folder. The two folders appear to have been created at the same time, with the railo4 folder having 1448 files in 91 folders, the railo folder having 1755 files in 204 folders.

2. Railo Server looks suspect - it was stopped, so I started it. It stopped again after 30 seconds.

3. C:\railo4\tomcat\lib\HeliconZooTomcatValve.jar does not exist.

4. That class is not present in server.xml

5. Railo is not available on localhost.

Please advise.

Edit:

I forgot to include my environmental variables. Sorry!

I recommend to reinstall Railo if it is possible.

1. Uninstall any Railo products via: Start - Control Panel - Uninstall a program.
2. Remove c:\railo4 and c:\railo folders.
3. Run Web Platform Installer and install products:
- "Railo 4": http://www.helicontech.com/zoo/gallery/Railo4.html
- "Helicon Tomcat Module for Railo": http://www.helicontech.com/zoo/gallery/RailoModule.html

Then install "Railo 4 Tomcat project" (http://www.helicontech.com/zoo/gallery/ ... oject.html)
into web site (new or existing).

Thank you.

Ruslan

Thank you very much for your assistance. The new site is up and running.

This is a very exciting platform. I'm a junior CF developer and the Helicon Zoo Railo platform will let me learn a lot about my new field!
