I spuradically have weird crashes on my server. So I installed Microsofts 'Debug Diagnostic Tool 1.1' and had it watch for crashes.

Within a minute there were several dumps created all linked to ISAPI_Rewrite.

An example (I will post links to a couple of the dump outputs as well)

======================================================
In w3wp__PID__3736__Date__10_11_2008__Time_03_40_02AM__769__First chance exception 0XE06D7363.dmp the assembly instruction at kernel32!RaiseException+58 in C:\Windows\System32\kernel32.dll from Microsoft Corporation has caused an unknown exception (0xe06d7363) on thread 9

This exception originated from ISAPI_Rewrite!TerminateFilter+4efe5.

Please specify your build of ISAPI_Rewrite so we could investigate the issue.

Version 3.1.0.51

I notice now that there is some new releases, is it generaly a good idea to update ISAPI_Rewrite to keep up with the releases?

I will install the latest version tommorow then check to see if I still have these crashes.

Hi,
to canadaka:
Please send to support@helicontech.com application log, IIS log, error.log and rewrite.log files. Also, probably you have other useful information, so please send it also.
