Does anyone know the changes that are in build 55? They aren't in the release notes.

Thanks,

Stephen

Changes were made to improve metabase reading and directory parsing.

Those changes sound as if they might involve performance. Is this version, in your opinion, worth immediately upgrading to if we aren't having any issue with a previous version? We serve about 12 million pages a month (per server), if that matters.

btw, we were having some regular ISAP_Rewrite issues where rewriting stopped for some reason, build 54 seems to have resolved them.

Actually fix is more important than it may sound from Anton's message. We have changed a way how ISAPI_Rewrite works with metabase and it seemed to be a reason of mysterious ISAPI_Rewrite failures. We needed a confirmation from several clients and now we have it.
Also we have optimized file change monitoring. All these changes don't make ISAPI_Rewrite faster, but now it is more reliable and consumes less resources on large servers (with lots of web sites like shared hostings).

Thanks for the detail. I'll queue up an upgrade with our system admins.

I can confirm this build is the "god" build which fixes those infamous issues of inetinfo.exe crashing, we suffered from these daily crashes across three dozen servers and since the upgrade they haven't crashed since.
