How to obfuscate query string
I'm trying to replace a link like
http://www.domain.com/foo.swf?a=/p1/p2/b.xml with
http://www.domain.com/bar.swf
Goal is to make the query string parameters invisible to the user.
Please help.

Re: How to obfuscate query string
Hello,
The idea is to make two rules: 301-redirect ad rewrite:
In case you have lots of that, you might be interested in mapfiles. It's in "Comprehensive mapfiles" in URL

Andrew

- Code: Select all
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^bar\.swf$ /foo.swf?a=/p1/p2/b.xml [NC,L]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^a=/p1/p2/b.xml$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^foo\.swf$ /bar.swf [NC,R=301,L]
