.NET 2.0 is Required for APE?
I really love Helicon software and it's worked very well for many years for us. Everything seemed fine but then I realized the folks who moved our site for us installed trial software and it had timed out causing many problems.
I have purchased and installed APE and am still having severe problems. The site is still running much slower and my application is slowing and recycling. Users are complaining.
I noticed that the current .NET framework is 4.5, however the System Requirements page below states that .NET 2.0 is required.
http://www.helicontech.com/ape/doc/sysreq.htm
I am having a hard time determining the error as it seems ISAPI errors are not being reported to the Event Log.
Do I need to uninstall 4.5 and install .NET 2.0?

Re: .NET 2.0 is Required for APE?
Hello.
.NET 2.0 is required to be INSTALLED on the system to operate Ape installation program and Helicon Ape Manager because IIS Administration API works on .NET 2.0 only. The Helicon Ape module itself does not require .NET 2.0 to operate and can work in Application pools configured for all versions, including 2.0, 4.0, 4.5, etc., so you can leave your Application pool in .NET 4.5 with no problem.
If you think Ape is involved in your site slow operation, please open Helicon Ape Manager, right click on your site and choose "Zip and save configuration" option. Then send this zip to [email protected] and we will review your configuration locally.
