Generate 45-day Helicon Ape trial license error
I get an error in trying to get the license.
Here is the error
Server Error in '/' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>

Re: Generate 45-day Helicon Ape trial license error
I am trying to set up helicon ape on a virtual server that is hosted. I downloaded the free version and then followed the instructions (though not clear) on uploading to the server. My host had me go to this page:
http://www.helicontech.com/ape/doc/wsp_ ... nstall.htm
to install. this page has the following:
Temporary registration key may be required to run Helicon Ape in trial mode. Please navigate to this link and fill the form to request one. Follow instructions in received e-mail and add the received key at the top of wwwroot\Helicon\httpd.conf file and save changes:
the link goes to: http://www.helicontech.com/ape/trialkey/
When I fill out the form and submit, I get the error above.

Oh, that's an old link, we don't do it this way and the page shouldn't be valid anymore.
Please, send us an email and ask for the trial key, we'd be happy to help.
