APE memory leaks

09 Jan 2015, 05:52

we have a webfarm with about 250 websites with seperate application pools. We notice a huge memory consumption for each application pool.

To test if it was a module i created a simple hello world page and turned off IIS modules one by one. After turning off a module i recycle the application pool and fired about 50 page refreshes at the page.
When i disable helicon APE memory usage from the simple hello world page drops from 25 MB to 7 MB !!! Also the application pool doesnt stop at 25 mb but with each request it slowly increases in size.
Worst detail is there isn't even a .HTACCESS file present at the HELLO WORLD application.

We use an up to date version of helicon APE

We now consider rewriting our .HTACCESS to rewrite rules in WEB.CONFIG and turning off Helicon APE. But before doing this i just wanted to know if you know about this memory leaks and if there is a way to stop this. Because with helicon isapi rewrite we never noticed such large memory consumption.

Hello.

Can you please send us your Ape configuration files? You can do this by launching Ape manager, right click on your site and select "Zip and save configuration". Then please send resulting zip file to [email protected]
Thank you!
